Duradry AM

What is the difference between deodorants and antiperspirants?

Deodorants use perfume and anti-bacterial agents to prevent bad odors, but do not prevent sweat secretion. On the other hand, antiperspirants actually reduce underarm perspiration. Duradry® AM is both an antiperspirant and a deodorant, so you get the benefits from both in one product.

Who is Duradry AM intended for?

It is intended for anyone who suffers from excessive perspiration and underarm odor. It may be used alone, but it has been specially formulated to be used together with Duradry® PM.

Could this product be dangerous to my health?

No, Duradry® AM works on the same principle as other antiperspirants on the market; the difference is that its active ingredient is much more effective. Duradry® AM remains on the surface of the skin.

If you have heard that antiperspirants are associated with an increase in breast cancer rates or Alzheimer’s disease, take into account that reputable medical organizations have indicated that there is no scientific evidence of a relationship between breast cancer or Alzheimer’s disease and antiperspirants, deodorants, or underarm hair removal. Organizations that have stated this include: the American Cancer Society, Susan B. Komen Cancer Foundation, the National Cancer Institute and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Is it harmful to stop sweating of the underarms?

Contrary to what people think, the main purpose of perspiration is to regulate body temperature, not to expel toxins from the body. Other organs such as the liver and kidneys take care of removing toxins from the body. There’s no danger in decreasing or stopping excessive sweating.

What kind of fragrance does Duradry AM have?

The fragrance in Duradry® AM is called Medical Clean. It is a fresh unisex fragrance.
